I’ve just picked up some more of your house blend.
I didn’t even know blending was a thing until very recently.
Your house blend gives the best of all the strains I really enjoy it.
I’m very interested in your experience of the House Blend. Can you give a brief example of your ‘felt’ benefits of using this blend?
I have currently experienced – what I would call – positive ‘felt’ results from the Leaf & Stem (during the day for energy), then in the late/afternoon early evening I go for the Malaysian Green which ‘seems’ to promote relaxation and light rest.
I’m thinking I might go for ‘just’ the House Blend if I might experience improved or similar benefits.
Mixing strains is very effective. The only ones that don’t mix well for me are Bali, Bali Gold and Jeruk. I find those are better by themselves, although everyone is different and this is just my subjective experience. I often mix 50% red (Red Indo MD or Red Vietnam) with 50% green or white strains. Recently I’ve had great results with 80% green/white with 20% red or the other way round 80% red/20% green/white.
Yeah I’d like to hear from others about their blending successes too. I have several strains here and haven’t tried blending before so would be great to get some tips 🌱
I’ve been finding that blending a white or green with a red tends to lift the whole experience, and adds a useful energy and feel good factor to an experience that might otherwise go a bit flat.
I find rotating the greens, whites and reds to be the best thing to do, and I usually use a ratio of around 4.5-4.75 red to 1.-1.5 g of green or white.
All the combos I’ve tried have worked well at some point, and I think they all work best after a break. White indo went great with Bali Gold, and Green Malay went great with Red Bali. But every combo I’ve tried has yielded good results. I think it’s probably the broader mixture of alkaloids that helps.
I also consume the kraom on an empty stomach as part of a home made milkshake, and the proteins and fats seem to help the buzz kick in more quickly and more noticeably than with my other method of consumption with yogurts. Which is very similar but just a slower onset in my experience,
