Sumatra Red Kratom
Kratom or Mitragyna Speciosa is a plant that has become increasingly popular in the modern-day. Its origin is in Southeast Asia, one of the richest areas in terms of wildlife. It requires specific humidity and temperature conditions that can be found only in this region.
The Sumatra Kratom basically has four vein colours. Sumatra red vein, white vein, green vein and yellow vein. The Sumatra Red Kratom is one of the most popular strains to help you relax. One user said ”I only took like 5-6 grams and it gave me nice relaxing, anxiety and depression free feeling for 6 hours”. He then went on to say, ”This one is not energetic, I could easily sleep on it if I wanted so it’s not the best strain if you have missions to accomplish, but great for relaxing in the evening”.

Effects of the Red Kratom
- It acts as a muscle relaxant or as a cough suppressant. Of course, you should keep in mind that the first few times, it can make you dizzy and nauseous.
- It sedates as well as stimulates (in smaller doses).
- On a physical level, it has analgesic effects, mitigating, or causing certain pains to disappear.
- It provides a kind of liberation accompanied by euphoria. It also sometimes produces a somewhat particular sensation, which is to be levitating on the bed when you are lying in it, giving you a very relaxing nap.
NOTE: You should keep in mind that it works on opioid receptors, so be careful with its consumption and with a maximum dose. Always start small and work your way up to a dose that works best for you.

This is the most reliable for effective pain relief over the long term, not the strongest, but in my experience by far the most reliable for effectiveness. This one should be available for presription by Doctors (as their solutions tend to be mostly useless and dangerous). This product is great. I have been using the FS Bali Gold before, recovering from opiates and have been looking to taper down on my kratom use now. Franz recommended me this product as a way of tapering. I have to say it is great. I have been using it along side FS Bali Gold as I used to take Bali Gold 2 times a day now I take Bali Gold in the morning and Sumatra in the evenings.

Well reading the other reviews, I seem to be the odd one out here. I found this strain to be more energizing than the Maeng Da, Red Vein which I had previously used, in fact that strain was beginning to sedate me a bit too much. Time will tell I guess and I will review again when I have been using it a bit longer. Relaxing none the less, and reduces anxiety and well as giving me the urge to rush around with the hoover. This was with 3 flat teaspoons taken early evening when I was beginning to feel drowsy, this definitely woke me up.

So I ordered my usual 2x bali using their offer but asked if he could switch the second bali for this because it’d be nice for a change and he did, which was nice.. but this stuff is awful. It tastes more disgusting than other kratom and it’s very gritty. Theres just no benefit to using this against bali kratom which is the same price, isn’t gritty, tastes better and gives a very similar (if not better) effect.

I find this to be quite an uplifting and mildly energetic strain without causing jitters. A good all rounder for me, which helps me manage some of the symptoms of c-ptsd, such as anxiety and depression, but doesn’t make me feel dumbed down or numb at all.
For some context, I am quite a high acheiving individual, used to owning and running my own business which is quite stressful at times. This, together with recently becoming aware of severe childhood trauma and living with lifelong (yet up until now unknown) c-ptsd, has made for an incredibly difficult life.
Over the years I have had various different coping strategies which have mainly only masked my symptoms. I can happily now say I am successfully managing my symptoms and, certainly in part, this is due to the therapeutic benefits of kratom.

My advice to anyone would be try the various strains to see what fits and
do be sensible, as with anything else, to use this plant with the respect it deserves.

This is a solid, reliable red strain in my opinion. Personally I marginally prefer the effects of the Bali red but lately that has started to have a very odd TCP-ish aftertaste about it that’s quite a bit less pleasant (!!!) than the normal kratom flavour, and that’s swung the balance in favour of the Sumatra for me as it’s no worse tasting than kratom ever is. It’s not the strongest but is pleasantly chilled, nice for relaxing of an evening with good pain killing properties. Am skint so bought some of their Summatra, 500g (it’s on offer £60) then in basket u get offered another for £30 so around 90 delivered for a kilo.
Didn’t expect much and admittedly had a 10g dose but it’s half decent. I do a kilo a month and have been doing stupid amounts lately dosing,. upto dosing every hour. But I have got good effects, did a dose last night and for the first time in ages slept 8 hours without having to wake for a mid evening dose, and this morning feel a good amount of euphoria. Finding the powder slightly gritty (micro gritty) buy otherwise am very happy with my purchase. The Sumatra red is honestly pretty terrible especially compared to the red bali. Far weaker, gritty with an insane amount of stems and just a generally awful taste. Usually, I would just ignore this and get the bali but now they’re selling the bali for more so you’re stuck with this. Every time I get a batch of Sumatra it feels even lower quality than the last.

Not the greatest strain unfortunately. I’m not sure if it’s just a bad batch, or whether the strain itself is weak, however I have had to take quite a lot to feel anything.

I’ve been a regular user & ‘enjoyer’ of red sumatra for a couple of years now and KUKs quality has always remained excellent.
I find red sumatra calming, and lately I’ve taken to brewing-up a batch in a jug and taking drinks from it throughout the day & evening – it certainly saves the hassle of brewing individual ‘doses’ each time you need one. Once the brew has cooled I do put some in a small plastic bottle, screw the cap on, and take it with me if I have to be out & about for any length of time – then I can take a sip if I start to feel stressed.
At the moment it’s great value too , so that’s definitely a plus.

This is not my goto choice, that is Vietnamese. Anyway, I had an order of another type that didn’t agree with me. This has not happened before but has to be expected with organics. Franz was wonderful and the next day I received a parcel of Sumatran red. It has similar characteristics to Vietnamese but is a lot more mellow. For the price, it is unbeatable, a rew grams of this makes for a wonderfully relaxing evening.
I have a problem with sleeping when using Kratom, but so far I have had no trouble drifting off.
